Luke Fisher was born in 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Millsaps College in 1985 with a B.A. in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi Law School in 1990, being admitted to the Mississippi Bar the same year.
He has practiced before numerous courts in Mississippi, both at the trial and appellate level, as well as before the federal courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi and the Western District of Tennessee. He has argued on several occasions before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has a number of reported cases, including Brendle v. City of Houston, 759 So.2d 1274 (Miss. App. 2000); Cruse v. Nunley, 699 So.2nd 941 (Miss. 1997); and Larry v. North Mississippi Medical Center, 940 F. Supp. 960 (N.D. Miss. 1996).
